About Us

Founded by Rabbi Danny and Esther Fordham, Chabad of Neve Shamir English Division was established to serve the growing English speaking community with warmth and connection. After years of communal leadership in the U.S., they moved to Neve Shamir with their children Tzvi and Mendel to build a welcoming center for Jewish life, learning, and connection.

Neve Shamir is one of the most vibrant and fast-growing communities in Beit Shemesh. Surrounded by parks, modern amenities, and beautiful scenery, it has become a natural choice for English-speaking families making Aliyah and seeking a strong sense of community. With over 400 English-speaking families and more arriving each year, the neighborhood continues to flourish, highlighting the vital importance of Chabad’s presence here to support, connect, and nurture the spiritual and communal life of every family.

Guided by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, the Fordhams are here to support families and individuals at every stage with learning, inspiration, and hands-on mitzvah experiences.

Through Torah classes, challah bakes, farbrengens, children’s programs, and personal support, we aim to create a welcoming space where every Jew can grow, connect, and celebrate their Yiddishkeit with joy.

Their work is under the auspices of Rabbi Yosef Y. Gindi, head shliach of Neve Shamir.
